Location, Location, & Location and we thought the staff and Loft Room were Terrific. A Real Deal All the way around. Staying overnight is "the best.". Also complaints about price of food are not realistic given you are in middle of nowhere. Admittedly we were there in late May with a snostorm and few(er) tourists. This was definitely value for money all the way around.
I liked hte ease of checking in and out.
The The Glenmore Inn & Convention Centre is the hotel of choice for the race car drivers and volunteers that ate invovled with motorsports at Race City Motorsport Park located in southeast Calgary. So what I liked was the opportunity to get together in the lounge for a relax in the evening and the opportunity to have breakfast with some of the folks too.
It was situated close to the events we were in Calgary to attend at a reasonable price.
Shopping and dining were a little distance away.
The Sunday morning brunch was very very good.
The bedspread on the bed looked worn and dirty.
Close to transport links into Calgary so no need to use car. Convieniently placede to drive to Heritage Park. Food in restaurant was fine but terrific Indian buffet in restaurant opposite.
Noisy traffic and trains could be clearly heard in our eighth floor room.
Nice modern clean room with everything you need for a stopover. Not too far from Calgary centre.
The room we had was down a very nice and quiet area!!! The quietest hotel we have stayed in yet!!
The exit doors were alarmed so you could not use them to bring in your belongings and we were very far from the main entrance!!!
An envelope was provided to put the keys and leave it at the desk. Fast and fficient.
An excellent buffet selection in the evening.
The bathroom was very small and not suitable for anyone with a physical handicap. The tub was very small and difficult to get out of as it had no grab bar. The toilet was too low down as well. Additionally our blow dryer was not working.
The first week my room smelled really bad. So i asked for a room with a window it was not available. Receptionist unwilling to help. Next week was upgraded to the 7th floor was happy about that room was way nicer smelled good and clean but the room was incredibly noisy with a banging constantly from outside. All in all my stay was good but not great.
Night front desk clerk was an very awful young brat, not at all concerned with guests comfort or concerns. My family had gone up to the room while I parked the car taking all our identification, phones etc,the night clerk refused to call the room or give me the room number. Fortunately I knew which floor we were on so I went up and waited in the hallway till my wife went to look for me.
pool was a hit with the grandchild.
No fridge in room. More kid friendly restaurant(s). The buffet/price was high for kids who eat very little.
nice view and underground parking
the room was smaller than expected for a family suite. the sofa bed had a rip in the cushion. Freezer door of the fridge was off. This hotel was a disappointment and is not near as nice as the pics.
The swimming pool and overall setup of the hotel
Hard to see smiles from hotel staff
